Indore : A long wait of five months for results ended for a girl student of BA course, whose results was withheld citing technical issues, on Tuesday following intervention of acting vice chancellor Prof Ashutosh Mishra into the matter.
Her result was declared in the evening after Mishra directed the Evaluation Centre to resolve the technical glitches and declare her results on Tuesday itself.
BA first semester exams were held in January and results were declared in April. But about 2,500 students results were withheld on the excuse of technical issues. Recently, the university had claimed that it had issued all the pending results but a girl turned up at Jan Sunwai laid the claim bare.
She informed the acting vice chancellor that her result of sociology paper has not been announced as yet. She told the VC that the Evaluation Centre official told her that her answer book has been misplaced.
Taken aback by the information, the acting vice chancellor enquired at the Evalution Centre only to find the girl’s claim true. However, the centre officials told Mishra that her misplaced answer book has been found now and the results would be declared shortly.
To this, Mishra directed the centre officials to declare the result on Tuesday itself. The orders were complied with.
