KUKSHI/DHAR : Police have busted a gang of bike thieves on Monday and arrested five persons under the direction of police superintendent Rajesh Hingankar and SDOP Kukshi. They recovered 10 bikes from their possession along with cash Rs 3.10 lakhs. The gang was active in town from past few months after which a team was constituted under the leadership of station in-charge Umesh Chandra Tiwari.
Police identified the accused as Salman Shakir Shekh (19), Parvej Dilawar Khan (24), Babu alias Imraan Irshad Khan (19), Manjesh Brijwasi (28), and Shahrukh Sheru Shah (21). During interrogation, all confessed their involvement in bike thefts and also informed about their modus operandi. On the basis of information given by them, police have seized 10 motor cycles and cash Rs 3.10 lakhs. Police also suspected that they could recover more bikes from their possession.
This arrest was accomplished with the commendable efforts of sub inspector SL Diwakar, sub inspector Jitendra Narwariya, head constable Anuj Jha, constable Mukam Bhinde, Vesta Solya, Amit, Gul Singh, Bishan and Mukam Dewada.
