Indore : Five members of a family were injured when a speeding car hit them near Vijay Nagar Square on Saturday night. Following the accident, angry mob damaged the vehicle. Police have seized the car and booked its driver. According to the police, Sonu Verma of Vijay Nagar had gone to Malwa Mill. While returning home, she along with her two children— Chetan and Roshan, sister Anita and daughter of her sister-in-law Muskan had got down from a city van at Vijay Nagar. As they were crossing the road, a speeding car hit them and injured them. The driver had even tried to escape but was caught and the angry mob damaged the car. The injured were rushed to a private hospital nearby and the driver made another attempt to escape but was caught again, this time by the family members of the injured and handed him over to the police.
However, the family members were shifted to MY Hospital where they had to wait for two hours before they got medical assistance.
