Five armed men kill farmer, injure brother

Indore : A farmer was killed and his brother critically injured when armed men attacked them over an old dispute at Sendal village in Simrol police station area on Thursday.

According to DSP Neeraj Amrutfale Gokul Jat, 22, and his elder brother Mahesh, 24, were on their motorcycle when they were intercepted by five armed men.

What began as an argument developed into full scale brawl during which time the five men attacked the two brothers with sharp-edged weapons.

The serious injured brothers were rushed to a hospital in Bhawarkuwan area where Gokul succumbed to his injuries while Mahesh is undergoing treatment. Shivram, Sukhram, Manohar, Ravi and Rakesh were identified as suspects involved in the attack.

Gokul’s relative said that Gokul and Shivram had an altercation some time ago and the attack may be the result of that altercation. The two brothers had got married three months ago. The police have identified the accused and were investigating the matter.
