Indore: On Sunday night, fire broke out inside the waste incineration plant installed near mortuary in MY Hospital premises. This plant is out of use for many years; but some valuable equipment were set in it. Some of the equipments and some other goods were gutted, while fire brigade controlled the fire in about a quarter hour.

The cause of the fire is not known. It is notable here that, this plant was installed here for the safe disposal of the poisonous hospital waste, so that it will not harm people, after spreading outside. But, due to poor maintenance and negligence of hospital administration, this plant was out of use, since years.

When this plant was installed here, some of its equipments and components were imported with high investment. But, presently it is left carelessly. Its boundary wall, doors and windows are damaged and the power supply is also cut off. The hospital administration is negligent towards it and many unwanted elements wander in the premises and especially in this backside part of the premises.

These circumstances might have favoured the cause of this incident. It is also not clear that, what goods were lying in this plant and what were burnt in the fire. So, nothing can be said about the amount of loss caused by fire.
