A complaint has been lodged with former executive council member of RGPV, Ajay Chordia regarding financial irregularity of more than Rs 10 lakh at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. In his complaint, Chordia claimed that the who’s who of DAVV allegedly provided financial benefit to four employees of Institute of Management Studies, an entity of the university, in gross violation of norms.

Chordia stated that as per contract with university four self-financing employees appointed under Category-3 (grade 2) with IMS should have to be given 5 per cent increment annually. Their salary should have not shot up over Rs 18135 per month.
In 2012, the executive council approved multiplication of 1.86 in the salary.  In 2018, the IMS employees including Kaushlendra Singh, Chandershekhar Morya, Awadesh Verma and Ram Bharose applied for revision in their grade citing their qualification.

Their grade were revised from Category -3 (Grade 2) to Categtory-3 (Grade-1) and then multiplied by 1.86. This lead to increase in their salary by nearly Rs 5000 more to Rs 18135. They were also given arears from 2012 as per revised grade. Chordia said that this was gross finanical irregularity. He also sent copy of complaint to Raj Bhawan and Department of higher education.
