Farmer murder case: All accused arrested

Indore : Azad Nagar police arrested sweetmeat shop owner and his six accomplices along with a woman for their involvement in the murder of a farmer in Musakhedi.

The police said all accused— Harsh Joshi, Govind Joshi, Sandeep Pardeshi, Suresh Gurjar, Muralidhar, Vishal and Narmada- were arrested on Sunday.

The accused stabbed farmer Mahesh Patel to death following an argument on October 15 last.

Harsh runs a sweetmeat shop in Musakhedi area. Deceased’s relative Rajnish Patel was returning home in his tractor when the upper portion of the tractor rammed into the shade of the shop. An argument ensued between the two and later they thrashed Rajneesh. After learning the incident, Rajneesh’s relative Mahesh Patel and his brother Maruti reached there. But they too were attacked by the accused with sword and knife in which the duo got critically injured. Later, Mahesh succumbed to his injuries in the hospital while Maruti is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.

Encroachment in front of the shop was the main reason for this incident. So the police and the IMC’s removal gang also removed the encroachments of all the shops of the area.
