Indore : BCom first semester students went to write exam at Renaissance College of Commerce and Management on Friday had to face inconvenience as the Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) at the eleventh hour shifted exam centre from this college to other college.
The exam centre was changed as the college denied holding exam citing an international conference scheduled on its campus.
When students reached Renaissance College in the morning to write corporate account paper, they were told to go to Christian Eminent College, which is located about half-a-kilometre from the former college.
“We have not been given prior intimation regarding change in the centre. We learnt about it only at eleventh hour,” said a student.
Exam controller Ashesh Tiwari said that they had to change exam centre at the last moment due to change in time of the international conference of Renaissance College.
“BCom first semester exam was to be held from 7.30 am to 10.30 am. Renaissance College had informed us about their international conference was scheduled after the university exam. However, the college later on informed us that the conference had been proponed and it would now commence at 10 am. We immediately talked to Christian Eminent College and shifted the examinees there. “The shifting was hassle-free,” the exam controller claimed.
