Indore : An elderly man fell from the fourth floor of a building at Dawa Bazaar on Wednesday and died. The circumstances surrounding his fall are not clear, but it is believed that he lost his balance and fell. However, the police are waiting for autopsy report to draw any conclusion in the matter.
According to Sanyogitaganj Police, the man has been identified as Kashiram Mahajan (70). Mahajan was working on the fourth floor when he lost his footing and fell down.
At the time of accident some of the shops were open and shopkeepers informed the police and then rushed Mahajan to MY Hospital where he died during treatment.
Investigating Officer Subhash Choudhary said Mahajan’s daughter was also with him. Mahajan, a resident of Chitra Nagar, was sweeping the building floors.
The police are tight lipped and are waiting for the autopsy report before drawing any conclusion in the matter. Meanwhile, they are recording statements of family members and other persons present in the building when the accident occurred.
