Indore : Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Dubey on Friday once again recommended before the Indore bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court the name of old contractor of Kesharbagh railway over-bridge, which is under construction for past 8 years, for completion of pending work.
In his report to the court, he said that Dubey Arvind Techno Engineers Pvt Ltd and JV Airen Developers Pvt Ltd, whose contract was terminated by the Indore Development Authority (IDA) following unexplainable delay in completion of the ROB project, is ready to complete the project in a stipulated time limit.
“The contractor will make ROB functional for traffic within 35 days, and complete other side work within 50 days,” his report said.
Last week, the court had asked Dubey to suggest how the remaining work of the ROB can be completed at the earliest.
Dubey’s report states if a process for hiring a new contractor is adopted, the construction at the ROB would further delay so it will be appropriate for the IDA to allow the old contractor to complete the project.
Recently, the IDA had rejected this identical suggestion of Dubey and decided to award contract of the pending works of the ROB to a new agency.
The latest report of Dubey states that if the IDA is not happy with the progress of the work by the old contractor, it can terminate the contract again and award the same to a new contractor.
