Cops nab vehicles thieve, seize 15 stolen mobikes

Indore : Lasudia police, on Friday, nabbed three vehicle thieves during a routine check and recovered as many as 15 stolen motorcycles from their possession.

Interestingly, the thieves, all residents of Dewas, would come to the city on a stolen motorcycle, steal motorcycles from the city and then abandon the one they brought with them from Dewas.

According to Pradeep Singh Ranwat, TI, Lasudia police station, during a routine checking at Pipaliya Kumhar some days ago, three bike borne youths were intercepted.

However, the youths did not stop and tried to flee from the spot. A chase ensued during which their motorcycle slipped and they fell. Two of the youths were caught while the third one managed to escape with the motorcycle.

During interrogation, the two admitted that the motorcycle they were riding on was a stolen one. Later, based on the information provided by them, the police nabbed the third youth as well.

The trio– Shashikant, Bhooriya and Deepak– admitted to stealing motorcycles from Lasudia, Sadar Bazaar, Palasia, Khajrana and other places. Based on the information provided by the accused, the police also recovered 15 stolen motorcycles.

The police are now trying to get names and addresses of people who had purchased the stolen motorcycles from them in the past. They would come to the city, steal motorcycles, abandon the one they used to come to the city and return to Dewas on stolen motorcycles.
