Dhar : Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Sunday distributed Van Adhikar Patra to 44 farmers belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes category during the district-level Antyodaya Mela at Koteshwar near here on the occasion of Shabari Mata Jayanti.
On the directions of the Chief Minister, special state-level drive in regard to this, was launched in state on February 24. During the Sunday’s programme, CM distributed the forest land right papers of about 30 hectare land to 44 SC/ST farmers of village Boradi and Dotraya of Badnawar development block of Dhar district. CM has also appreciated the effort of district administration towards distributing pattas to the farmers.
Under the Forest Rights’ Act 2006, this special drive has been launched to re-examine the cancelled claims and producing them before the administration. According to the CM’s direction, new applications from the farmers will be accepted under the drive.
