Indore : Giving in to the demand of IIM aspirants who failed to apply for the common admission test (CAT)-2014 within the stipulated time, IIM Indore announced on Friday that it will reopen the registration window for one more day on 10 October.
Dr Rohit Kapoor, convenor of CAT-2014 and faculty of IIM Indore, highlighted that that technical glitches faced by candidates on the last day of registration compelled IIM Indore, which is organising CAT for the second consecutive year, to take this decision of reopening registration. “This window would be opened on 10 October from 00:00 hours to 23:59 hours,” said Dr Rohit Kapoor. He added, “We have been given to understand that few candidates faced difficulties during the last day of submission (30 September) for CAT-2014 application owing to failures in internet connection and net banking transactions.”
And with regard to the instructions and guidelines to proceed for CAT registration on October 10, Dr Kapoor, said, “The guidelines for the same will be uploaded on our CAT website on October 5.”
Nearly 25,000 candidates had registered for CAT on the last day for registrations, and it is widely anticipated that thousands more would register on October 10. The above step would also help to improve CAT-2014 registrations which currently at 1,89,769 is lower than previous years.
