Indore : Following an Interpol warrant, Crime Branch on Saturday arrested builder Champu Ajmera’s brother Nilesh Ajmera, who had purchased a plot in Abu Dhabi but the cheque through which he had made the payment dishonored.
According to Palasia TI Shivpal Singh Kushwah, Nilesh Ajmera, a resident of Paliwal Nagar, was arrested from his office in Palasia on Friday.
The Abu Dhabi police had filed a case against him a few months ago. Since then, he was being searched by the Abu Dhabi police.
The Patiala House court of Delhi has also issued a warrant after which the arrest was made by the Crime Branch on the directives of senior police officials of the city.
Later, he was handed over to Palasia police, who took him to Delhi and he will be produced before the court in New Delhi.
During questioning, Nilesh told the police that he was living in London for few years. He had purchased a plot in Abu Dhabi from one Sunil Sanghi and had made the payment through cheque and later the cheque was dishonored after that Sunil had filed a complaint and a
warrant was issued by a court of Abu Dhabi in this regard.
