Indore : Two bike-borne robbers snatched a bag containing Rs 1.89 lakh from a soap factory manager in broad daylight on busy Dhar Road on Wednesday. Hatod police station In-Charge SR Uchariya said Shakir, 51, of Khatiwala Tank was on way to his factory in Bisnawada village, when the attack took place at around 11am. As he reached Simhasa, he was alarmed when bike riders tried to stop him. The riders chased the factory manager and sideswiped him, causing him to fall. One of men grabbed the bag containing Rs 1.89 lakh kept in the scooter dickey, while other beat Shakir up, when the latter resisted. The victim raised an alarm, but no one came to his rescue. Shakir later told the police that he was carrying the money for distribution of salaries of factory employees. The accused might be following him from Khatiwala Tank. Police claimed that Shakir was unable to note down the registration tags.
