Amisha braves scorching sun for Patel

Indore: Congress’s star campaigner and Bollywood actress Amisha Patel held a road show in support Congress Lok Sabha candidate Satyanarayan Patel, here on Thursday. It was taken out from Rajwada to Sitlamata Bazaar via Sarafa.

The ‘ Kaho Na Pyar Hai’ actress received overwhelming response from people, mostly party supporters.Donning a full- sleeve suit, cap and goggles, Amisha braved the scorching heat and took part in the hour- long rally, which was started two hours late. Many people offered bouquets to the Bollywood star while she was appealing to vote for the Congress.

Patel was also moving in an open jeep along with former State women Congress president Archana Jaiswal and local leaders.

People face trouble

As the road show was taken out in one of the busiest markets of the City, Sarafa Bazaar, commuters had to face difficulty due to blocked roads and gathering of huge crowd. Along with traders, customers also faced trouble as they were stranded for more than half- an- hour.

Tai is inactive, choose Patel this time: Amisha

While addressing a public meeting, held at Loha Gate Square, Chandan Nagar, on Thursday, Amisha urged people to vote for Satyanarayan Patel. In her two minute speech, she said: “ People have given me love and appreciated my films, now they should elect Patel as their MP. I am a Patel and I am appealing you to vote for Patel.” During her speech, she also targeted sitting MP and BJP candidate Sumitra Mahajan and said she was an inactive leader and she did nothing for the city.

However, the organizers had to conclude Amisha’s speech in a couple of minutes due to unruly crowd.
