NEW DELHI: The members of Parliament raise issues concerning their areas and other important matters during ‘zero hour’ to draw attention of the government that may ignore or act on them.
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu changed the system with much cheers from the members on Friday when he passed a direction that the ministers must respond to them on every such issue "within one month.
The opposition members said the Rajya Sabha chairman has made a paradigm shift by letting the ministers respond to the issues, if not immediately then at least within one month.
