New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Yogi Adityanath today attacked the Samajwadi Party (SP) over the poor state of public amenities in Uttar Pradesh, just a day after he was named as the face of the party’s campaign in the state for the upcoming by-polls.

Speaking to ANI, Yogi Adityanath said, “The Samajwadi Party has been a failure on every front. Whether we talk about law and order or public amenities, Uttar Pradesh lacks in every aspect.  UP has no good roads, is devoid of electricity, and the common man does not feel safe. The SP will now have to pay for these misdemeanors in the upcoming by-polls.”

Yogi Adiyanath further said that while he would campaign for the party, he could not discuss the plans just yet. “We will campaign for the party, but the UP State BJP offices shall draft the manifesto, and we shall abide by that.”

Yogi Adityanath and BJP state president Laxmikant Bajpai were named by BJP president Amit Shah as the leaders of the campaign in UP on his visit to Lucknow. The by-polls will take place on September 13 across 11 constituencies.
