Veteran journalist T V Venkatachalam dead

New Delhi: T V Venkatachalam, who had served PTI as journalist for over three decades, died here today after a brief illness.

He was 84.

Venkatachalam, who was an ace Parliamentary correspondent, had represented PTI in Kuala Lumpur as its correspondent in the early eighties.

He had also occupied the post of Regional Manager in PTI’s Delhi office.

In 1987, he had joined National Herald as its Editor.

He is survived by his journalist son T V Sriram.
