With the number of Covid cases dropping everyday and number of recovered patients rising, Uttar Pradesh has decided to unlock all the districts. The state government had imposed partial curfew/lockdown in all the districts on May 3. In the first week of this month the government decided to lift lockdown from districts where active Covid cases came down below 600. At present only three districts Lucknow, Meerut and Gorakhpur had more number of cases where situation improved on Tuesday following which it was decided to lift lockdown.
According the additional chief secretary information Navneet Sehgal, night curfew in the entire state will continue from 7 in evening till 7 in the morning. Besides the lockdown on the weekend will also continue in the entire state.
As per the directives issued by the state government the shopping malls, cinema halls, clubs, swimming pools, gyms and coaching institutes will not be allowed to operate. There will be no teaching in the schools and college. However, the staff engaged in the administrative activities may come to educational institutes.
Interstate bus services will not operate till further orders. All the government offices will function with only 50 per cent of staff. The private establishments have been allowed to function with restrictions that they would set up Covid help desk. Hotel and restaurants may function but only for the home delivery of food items. The eateries along expressways and highways have been allowed to run.
