Two die due to electrocution in Rajasthan village

Dholpur: Two persons died and as many were injured after they came in contact with live wires at Dongarpur village in Dholpur district, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Durga Singh (35) and Manoj Kumar (18).

The incident took place last night.

Relatives of the victims have filed an FIR with the Mania Police station against the state power discom, alleging that the casualties occurred due to abrupt high voltage supply of power to houses in the village, police said.

Villagers also held a protest outside the police station, demanding action against the power company’s officials and cash compensation for kin of the victims, they added
