The 23-year-old woman was murdered by a man whose marriage proposal she had declined. The incident took place on Friday around 8 am, when Ramya reached the school premises, as it was early the school campus was empty and the cops suspect that the woman was stabbed to death by a man who had followed her. The incident came to light around 9 am when another teacher saw Ramya lying in a pool of blood.

Ramya’s father Subramanian told cops that a named Rajasekar from Virudhachalam in Cuddalore district could have killed her. The cops now suspect that Ramya was killed for rejecting a marriage proposal. Subramaniam told the leading daily, “Rajasekar’s family repeatedly asked me to give my daughter in marriage to him as they had known each other during college days.
