Rajasthan: 'Abducted' Comedian Janvi Modi Seen In Video Marrying Man A Day Later

A woman comedian from Rajasthan who was alleged abducted by masked men from Bikaner has purportedly emerged in a video which shows her marrying a man. Parents of Janvi Modi, the comedian, approached police after she was kidnapped.

Media reports say that two men abducted Janvi around 7 pm on Tuesday (January 21) when she was in a market with her mother. Two masked men forcibly made her enter into a car which then drove away.

Janvi's parents approached police who registered an FIR and began their search. However, a new twist in the tale emerged when Janvi was seen marrying a man in Bikaner's Arya Samaj Mandir in video posted online.

News18 reported that name of the man Janvi Modi married is Tarun Sangla. His name is also mentioned in the FIR filed with the police.

Modi has previously worked for Marwadi short-films and she also makes video which are posted online.

She often portrays herself as a daughter-in-law in these videos. She is also known for her role in 'Mukesh Ki Comedy'. It is a series of humourous videos based on life in Rajasthan and Haryana. She is active on various social media platforms.

There was no immediate reaction from police or any local authorities after the latest developments.
