New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday deferred hearing on PM Narendra Modi biopic to Friday after the Election Commission submitted its report in a sealed envelop. The Bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Deepak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna, however, refused the report confidential as it directed the EC to provide a copy to the film producers.
There was sensation in the Supreme Court on Monday as all 15 Benches started the judicial proceedings 15 minutes late at 10.45 AM in view of an extraordinary hearing on Saturday by a 3-judge Bench headed by CJI Gogoi on the allegations of sexual harassment of an ex-employee by him.

The petition to lift ban on the Hindi movie was filed by the filmmakers against the Election Commission staying release of the Vivek Oberoi-starrer Movie till the polls are over on May 17. The EC is understood to have justified to continue the ban lest it influences the voters.
In an order on Saturday, the Election Commission also banned streaming of the web series based on the life of PM Modi titled “Modi–Journey of a common man.” Directing Eros Now to stop forthwith the online streaming that began at the beginning of April and remove all contents of the series.
