New Delhi: Senior journalist and a regular columnist of The Free Press Journal, Anil Sharma, passed away in New Delhi on Monday due to brain haemorrhage.

He had been ailing for some time, but like a true professional journalist, continued to wield the pen and meet edit deadlines of various newspapers right till the last day. In fact, he wrote his last edit for FPJ titled: ‘Jaitley’s High-Octane PR Exercise’, for its Monday edition. A newsman who died virtually with his boots on.

He is survived by two sons. He was cremated at the Lodhi Crematorium Ground here. The entire journalistic fraternity of Delhi has deeply mourned Anil Sharma’s death, saying he was a stickler for probity and would never compromise on his political theories.
