PATNA: JDU national president and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday criticised the BJP candidate from Bhopal for her statement against Mahatma Gandhi. Nitish who had kept silence on the issue during the election campaign when he shared dias with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 8 places in Bihar reacted for the first time on the controversial
BJP candidate. After casting his vote at booth no 326 in Patna Sahib constitutency, Kumar said that he never compromised on corruption, communalism and crime in his ;political career and so he would wish Pragya Thakur is expelled from the BJP.
Though it is an internal matter of BJP but action should be taken against Pragya Thakur, he said, adding that Mahtama Gandhi is the father of the Nation and Pragya should not have praised his killer. Rabri Devi, RJD leader and former chief minister, too condemended Pragya Thakur for her statement. She said if Nitish Kumar genuinely felt hurt with Pragya Thakur’s statement,he must snap ties with the BJP immediately and quit the government.
