Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil on Tuesday resigned as a member of the legislative assembly. He has submitted his resignation to the speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Haribhau Bagade. Patil is likely to join Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Rumours are rife that he may be become part of Maharashtra Cabinet in the upcoming expansion.
Some other Congress MLAs and leaders may also follow the Patil. Earlier, Vikhe Patil had resigned as the Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in the run up to Lok Sabha elections 2019.
