Jaya orders solatium to families of 29 deceased persons

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa today ordered solatium to the families of 29 persons who died in various incidents of electrocution and mishaps in several parts of the State.

While 14 persons died of electrocution, 15 were killed in mishaps in various incidents in several parts of Tamil Nadu in different dates last year, she said in a statement here. Condoling the deaths, she ordered a solatium of Rs three lakh to each of the next of kin of victims of electrocution and Rs one lakh to families of persons who were killed in mishaps.
