India's active COVID-19 tally again breaches 4 lakh mark: 43,509 cases and 640 deaths reported in last 24 hours

India's active COVID-19 caseload went back above the 4 lakh mark on Thursday morning as the country reported 43,509 fresh infections and 38,465 recoveries during the last 24 hours. 640 deaths were reported during this time. With this, the active caseload has now risen to 4,03,840.
