Twitter has expressed outrage and strongly criticised the inaction of the Delhi police after two videos of protestors attacking the cops went viral on Thursday.
The first video, which was shared by an Indian Express journalist, shows how protesters attacked DCP Amit Sharma. In the video, even women can be seen throwing stones at policemen who were caught by the crowd.
Later in the day, another video shared by a CNN News 18 journalist shared a video. "Another video has surfaced where mob is pelting Stone on the police group which is trying to rescue DCP Amit Sharma. Towards the end, can see the unconscious DCP being dragged by his officials and stones being hurled towards them," she tweeted.

However, even as there was outrage at the violence faced by the Delhi police, there were some Twitter users who repeatedly tweeted the video and put out the same tweet again.
This is the second viral video in the past month that involves the Delhi police. In the middle of February, a video of the cops entering the Jamia University library and assaulting students, while destroying equipment created a furor on social media.
