Patna: District magistrates of 12 districts in Bihar have issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC as the blistering heatwave continue to sweep several places in the state. People have been cautioned not to come out of their homes between 10 am and 4 pm.
According to an order issued by the DM of Darbhanga, all schools – both government private sectors – would remain closed till Sunday. Even the coaching institutes have also been asked to down their shutters.
Darbhanga DM said the anganwadi kendras would function only for 30 minutes from 6 am to 6.30 am. There is total ban on construction works, both by the government and the private contractors.
DMs of Bhagalpur, Madhubani, Begusarai, Jamui, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Nalanda, Jahanabad, Arwal, Saharsa, Gopalganj, Saran and Sheohar too issued prohibitory orders asking people not to come out on the streets between 10 am and 4 pm. All markets will remain shut during this period, the orders said.
