Explosion rocks school building in Kashmir

Srinagar: An explosion occurred Tuesday inside a school building in a Baramulla village where a polling station is being set up for Wednesday’s Lok Sabha election from Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said the minor explosion occurred inside the Watergam Middle School in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district Tuesday morning.

“There was no damage to the school building. No one was injured. The cause of the explosion is being investigated,” a senior police officer told IANS.

Panic, however, gripped the area after the explosion since election authorities are setting up a polling station inside the school building.
