New Delhi: A Congress delegation on Friday complained to the Election Commission officials on the BJP violating the Model Code of Conduct for the elections by display of Prime Minister Modi’s hoardings at railway stations, airports and petrol pumps. Its spokesman RPN Singh said the EC took cognizance of the complaint as these hoardings remained in place even after our presentation to it on Sunday as they influence the voters.
The EC officials told the delegation that the orders were issued on pulling down these hoardings. They said it appears they are still there. “EC clearly told us that they have asked for a report to be submitted by Friday evening.,” Singh said.
