New Delhi : Not satisfied with explanation of ex-Congress Working Committee member Jagmeet Brar to his public outburst early this month, the leadership has referred his case to the A K Antony-headed disciplinary committee.

The party sources said he may, however be let off since senior general secretary Janardan Dwivedi offered a sympathetic view to his outburst when he argued that the leadership should listen to workers’ voice as communication cannot be a one-way affair. The staunch family loyalist’s comment had come amid a loud chorus against Brar’s outburst.

In his reply to the show-cause notice, Brar had denied asking Sonia Gandhi or Rahul to take a 2-year break from politics, saying “I have no right whatsoever to tell the leadership to go on a holiday/break.”
