New Delhi: After successfully roping in four of six Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs from the Rajya Sabha last week, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) got one more MP in Ram Kumar Kashyap, the lone Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) member from Haryana.
Its strength in the House, however, remains unchanged at 75, since only this week, it lost Madan Lal Saini, a member from Rajasthan and state BJP president, who passed away on Monday last. Defections from both the TDP and the INLD meet the requirement of two-third to escape the anti-defection law, but the Oppn is already up in arms against the ruling party for its misuse of power in organising such defections.
