New Delhi: It said ever since the MCC was announced and became operational, the two have been brazenly and with impunity violating all norms of electoral propriety, giving hate speeches with the intention of polarising the electorate through hate speeches, running a campaign seeking to leverage the valour and sacrifice of our brave armed forces and carrying out elaborate rallies on polling day.

Senior party leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who led a Congress team to the EC, said: “Never before in the history of independent India, has there been a more audacious set of individuals who for the sake of petty electoral advantage are willing to undermine our laws and our institutions. No other individuals have shown such a flagrant disregard for the doctrine of the level playing field and basic electoral sportsmanship.” He said the most surprising thing is the complete silence on the part of the EC, a body charged with the supreme authority to ensure the integrity and sanctity of our elections.
