The much awaited Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif starrer Zero has hit the screens. Despite the hype and all the star elements in it including special appearances of Salman Khan and the late Sridevi, the Aanand L. Rai celluloid under-performed on the first and second day of its release.
With the makers going all out with their promotional strategies and distribution across 4,380 screens, the film hasn’t been able to make a concrete hold at the box office. According to trade analysis, the film collected Rs 20.14 crore on its opening day. And on Saturday, it merely earned Rs 18.22 crore. As of now, the romantic drama has managed to make a total collection of Rs 59 crore including that of Sunday.
In terms of the narrative, it received mixed reviews from critics and movie buffs. Now that holiday season is upon us with family outings on Christmas Eve, it will be crucial for the film’s business which might see an upward trend.
