Tanushree Dutta who gave voice to thousands when she first talked about her experience with sexual Harassment on a film set. The former actress during a media interaction talked about her personal life and relationships.
Tanushree who moved to US three years ago and lives there all by herself, revealed that she is not ready to settle down just for the heck of it.
She strongly believes it will happen only when it is meant to, “My attitude towards marriage is similar to most other things in life. It’ll happen if it’s meant to be and when it’s meant to be and if it does, it will be great and if it doesn’t, it will be greater still.”
Dutta however did admit she wouldn’t mind having a lover and a companion in life. “I wouldn’t mind having a lover as I think beyond man-made constructs of relationships. What one really needs at times is companionship and synergy of mind, emotions, energy and spirit and a shared purpose in life.”
“If it translates into a bond of permanent friendship then I’ll honour it according to God’s will. Commitments of the heart and soul mean more to me that lip service and putting on a charade of togetherness,” she added.
Concerned about the relationship these days, she said tying herself to one person who may remain the same eventually does not seem worthy. “I see how people conduct themselves these days and it makes me wonder if it’s worth tying myself to one person who may or may not even remain in it authentically down the line and then I’ll become one of the millions playing the happily ever after part in a self-constructed theatrical play… So, let’s see,”
Tanushree shot to fame with Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ and went on to make films like Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets, Akshay Kumar’s Bhagam Bhag, Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Dhol’ and more. She had never talked about returning to the screen while her sister, Ishita Dutta is quickly gaining fame for her work in big releases.
