A recent affidavit filed by Hema Malini with the poll panel, has revealed that the senior actress currently owns property worth Rs 101 crore which has made her join the league of billionaires in India.
It should be noticed that Hema’s wealth was nearly Rs 66 crore before the 2014 general elections. Now cut to five years the value of her assets have been increased by a whopping Rs 34.46 crore.
The affidavit was submitted to the Election Commission of India as the actress is filing her nomination as Lok Sabha candidate from the Mathura parliamentary constituency on a BJP ticket.
The affidavit also disclosed that Hema Malini has two cars. A Mercedes which she bought for Rs 33.62 lakh in 2011 and Toyota that which she bought at the whopping amount of Rs 4.75 lakh in 2005.
According to the same affidavit, both Hema Malini and Dharmedra have a debt of over Rs 6.75 crore and Rs 7.37 crore, respectively. A significant part of their debt includes a loan taken to build their bungalow in Juhu in Mumbai.
Talking about Hema Malini’s political career, before being elected as Mathura MP in 2014, Hema Malini was a Rajya Sabha MP twice, first from 2003 to 2009 and then from 2011 to 2012.
