Bollywood stars may enjoy basking in their glory, being chased by paparazzi and sharing a chunk of insight on social media. But things get awry once they turn parents and find it affecting the normal surrounding of their kids. Kajol speaks on the shutterbugs who stalk her kids and how difficult it is to deal with the constant hounding.
Mother to kids Nysa and Yug, the actress told Mid Day in an interview how these things rob kids of a regular upbringing. “We all want the best for our kids, [which is a life] without the pressure of [dealing with] the media at that age. They have other issues to deal with.”
“We, as celebrities, signed up for this profession. They are just born into it and shouldn’t be hounded. Our children are too young to understand that the reason they have cameras around is because their parents are stars,” she adds.
“Now, we, as a family, know how to react to these situations.” Kajol is all set to play an on-screen mom in Pradeep Sarkar‘s directorial venture which also stars National Award winning actor Riddhi Sen. “I am similar to the character I play in the film, so, working on it was an instinctive and intellectual choice.”
