Chawla was conferred with the Punjabi Icon award for her contribution to the Punjabi film industry recently. Her popularity as an actor is not just limited to Bollywood but she’s also one ofthe most sought after names in the Punjabi film industry.
The actor, who started her career with television, went on to create her own niche in Punjabi and Hindi films. Surveen has been part of successful Punjabi films like ‘Dharti’, ‘Singh Vs Kaur’ and ‘Disco Singh’ among others and enjoys a massive fan following in the North.
Considering Surveen’s contribution to Punjabi films, she was recently honoured with ‘Punjabi icon’ award on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi festival. “l feel grateful to have received this honour for my work in the Punjabi film industry.. Appreciation and recognition for ones contribution at work is the biggest reward of all…This is what we drive on.
