Sacred Games controversy: Congress man files complaint against Netflix and producers for insulting late PM Rajiv Gandhi

Netflix original web series ‘Sacred Games’ is gaining huge popularity because of its story and acting, however, some are against the content and language used in the web series. According to Republicworld a Congress leader from Kolkata has filed a complaint against the makers of the web series.

Rajeev Kumar Sinha, who has contested on a Congress ticket in the past, used his official letterhead and stamp to shoot off a letter to the Commissioner of Police and the Joint Commissioner of Police Lalbazar Kolkata. The complaint letter was also sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police Central Division.

The 37-year-old Congressmen has accused the producers and Netflix of insulting the Late Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi.

Rajeev Kumar Sinh has urged Kolkata police to register the FIR and also demanded to slam section of IT act and Indian penal code against he Netflix and the producers of the show.

On the other hand, the show is getting hailed world wide by people and has got positive review from the critics.
