Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone tied the knot yesterday as per Konkani tradition at Lake Como, Italy. Apart from Konkani wedding, the duo will also be getting married once again on November 15 i.e. today as per Sindhi tradition. Deepika-Ranveer’s Konkani wedding was indeed an affair to remember. One of the major highlights of the wedding was bride Deepika’s walking up to the mandap which is widely known as Kanya Aagman in India. Interestingly, when Deepika walked up to the mandap, classical singer Shubha Mudgal performed live for her.
Though videos and pictures of the wedding are yet to come but reports state that Deepika’s Kanya Aagman was an emotional moment for her family. Meanwhile, Deepika and Ranveer were both dressed in Sabyasachi outfits. Deepika wore a red and gold ensemble while Ranveer was dressed in a white kurta and dhoti. The ceremony had strict security and guests were requested not to post pictures on social media. Hence, it has been quite a wait for fans to see what their day looked like.
Deepika and Ranveer got married after being in a relationship for 6 years. The duo has worked in Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. On the work front, Deepika will next be seen playing the role of acid attack survivor Lakshmi Agarwal in Meghna Gulzar’s directorial venture. Ranveer too will next be seen in Simmba starring Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood, which is set to release on December 28, 2018.
