King of comedy Kapil Sharma is all set to hit the big screens with his dashing debut in Abbas-Mastan’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. Kapil who has been promoting his film in a funny and witty manner is excited for the release on 25th September. However he would be facing some competition with Madhur Bhandarkar’s glamorous Calendar Girls which releases on the same day. The film has some great value due to the skin show of girls in bikinis which will definitely attract a certain kind of crowd.
“Kapil’s popularity on television cannot be denied. His stardom on television is bound to spill over on to the large screen,” says Madhur. However, source close to Kapil says that there is no room for competition and says that “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon has no girls in bikinis, no titillation. It is a naughty comedy about a man with a roving eye. Kapil’s role in inspired by Sanjeev Kumar in B R Chopra’s Pati Patni Aur Woh. But, there is no concession to any kind of raunchy or risque content. Kapil was very clear that he would not let down his diehard family audience from television by doing anything vulgar.”
But that does not mean Bhandarkar’s film is out stir mere fascination. “There are barely 4-5 shots of girls in bikinis. It’s an emotional story of 5 girls’ journey from obscurity to fame. Ab Calendar Girls ke baare mein hai, toh bikini shot toh hogi,” says a member of Madhur Bhandarkar’s team.
