Colloquial words have become the most befitting titles of today’s cinema. ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi’ is a comedy which will be directed by National Award winning director Aman Sachdeva.

The film is an effort of Bejoy Nambiar and Ekta Kapoor who have decided to produce it jointly. ‘Jhand’ is a popular word prevalent in Delhi. The film stars newbie Siddharth Gupta who is pitted opposite Miss India Simran Kaur.

Director Bejoy said, “We held a long audition process over several months. We were very clear about wanting a fresh face.

Loads of youngsters were auditioned and I went to Balaji with the tapes. It took us around five months to decide on Siddharth for the role. This is our third venture at Getaway Films and the first one that I am not directing.

Aman (Sachdeva) makes his directorial feature debut and we couldn’t have asked for a better alliance than one with Balaji on our pet project.”
