Director Rohit Shetty, who’s film ‘Singham Returns’ features Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, says that his dream is to direct megastar Amitabh Bachchan in an action film. What’s more, Shetty also wishes to team up with superstar Salman Khan soon.
“It is my dream to work with Mr Bachchan. I want to do an action film with him. I have not really told him that I want to work with him in a full-fledged film,” Shetty said in a recent interview.
It’s noted that Amitabh Bachchan had done a special song in Shetty’s directorial venture ‘Bol Bachchan’ and had also lent his voice for the opening episode of the fifth season of action-adventure reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, which was hosted by Shetty.
“Though I have worked with him in ‘Bol Bachchan’, I want to work with him again. I was in an awe of him,” Shetty added.
Besides Big B, Rohit Shetty said that he would also like to work with ‘Kick’ star Salman Khan. Talking about it Shetty said, “I would love to do a film with him. But it has to be something big for us to come together, like how I and Shah Rukh Khan came together for ‘Chennai Express’. As of now there is nothing in hand (any script for Salman).”
The filmmaker is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Singham Returns’. Clarifying that the female lead, played by Kareena, too has an important role in the film Shetty said, “Though ‘Singham’ is about Ajay; Kareena is also playing a key role in the film. It’s not that we have roped her for five songs and all. She has an equally important role in the film… If I come across a good script, I would love to make a lady ‘Singham’ with Kareena.”
‘Singham Returns’ features Ajay Devgn in the lead role and is slated to release on August 15.
