Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal got hitched in a lavish wedding yesterday at Antilia in Mumbai. The duo looked extremely happy as they posed for the camera and the pictures from the wedding went viral in no time on social media. Isha and Anand both donned colour-coordinated ensembles for their wedding. However, Isha chose to wear something from her mother, Nita Ambani’s wedding, making her outfit even more noteworthy.
She draped on her shoulder, her mother’s 35-year-old wedding sari, making her wedding ensemble even more meaningful.
The beautiful bride wore a 16-panelled ghagra made with two shades of off-white and also featured an intricate trail. Each panel was hand-embroidered with Mughal jaalis and floral panels alternated with the finest zardozi, vasli, mukaish and nakshi work. Every flower jaali was highlighted with crystals and sequins. The zardozi borders also included red-hues, the iconic bridal colour, lending an auspiciousness to the ensemble.
Isha and Anand will now move in to a Rs 450-crore recently-renovated bungalow in Worli, Mumbai.
