Irrfan Khan back in Mumbai, will start shooting for ‘Hindi Medium’ 2

Actor Irrfan Khan back in March 2018 had shared the news of him suffering from cancer, recently returned to India after undergoing treatment in London. On Friday he was spotted at the Maddock Films production house, office in Mumbai. Since he has been back the actor has always been seen covering his face to avoid paparazzi. According to sources, Irrfan now here, will soon start shooting for Hindi Medium 2.

A source confirmed to Asian Age that Irrfan will be a part of Hindi Medium 2, “While Hindi Medium was shot extensively in India, the sequel will be shot in the US. The story will revolve around the daughter, to be played by Radhika Madan, who leaves travels to the United States for her higher education.”

When rumors started floating in February that Irrfan is back in Mumbai to start shooting, a source close to the actor had said, “Irrfan is back in Mumbai. But people are publishing all sorts of stories without any confirmation. They are not true. I will get an update on his health and when will he be resuming work when I meet the actor soon.” The source had also confirmed the Hindi Medium sequel but was not sure when the film will go on floors.

Hindi Medium directed by Saket Chaudhary released back in 2017. The film saw Irrfan Khan alongside, Saba Qamar and Deepak Dobriyal in lead roles. It has grossed at 3.401 billion ($52.39 million) at the worldwide box office after its release in China.
