Karan Johar’s next film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has expectations raised from day one. A stunningly beautiful cast and a popular song as the film’s title… it is awaited impatiently. Naturally it made big news when word got out that according to the script, there was a kissing scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya in the film.
When Aishwarya got to know of this she supposedly refused to do the scene. Director Karan Johar had to alter the scene aesthetically so it looked like a love-making scene between two actors without giving an impression of them kissing on camera. It will be interesting to see how Karan has portrayed this part in the film.
Talking about the film, the director said, “It is not a conventional love story or love triangle. It’s a film that dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within.”
While Karan has only whetted our interest with his revelations, it is entirely possible that Ash’s reluctance to kiss for the scene was prompted by her family’s reservations… Back when her smooch with Hrithik Roshan in DHOOM 2 had grabbed eyeballs, the Bachchans were said to be have been sore at the scene.
