Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta tied the knot on March 9 at the Jio garden in Mumbai among their families, close friends and prominent celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor to name a few.
Since the wedding, the two have hosted a Mangal Parv ceremony and a grand wedding reception. The power couple at the reception looked royal dressed in red and pink ensembles. Akash sported a red bandhgala kurta, while Shloka looked beautiful in a pink lehenga with silver embroidery. She accessorised her outfit with gorgeous diamond jewellery and kept her hair and make-up simple.
Some of the new faces seen at the Ambani bash on Monday were, Kapil Sharma, who recently tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath. Kapil was seen in black indo-western sherwani and wife Ginni attended the event in a green floor-length attire. He also shared his best wishes for the couple on his social media account.
Sonakshi Sinha who was missing from the wedding was spotted at the reception in a glittering gold sari from ace designer Manish Malhotra’s collection matched with simple but elegant jewellery.
South and Hindi cinema actress Tamannaah Bhatia arrived in a shining maroon lehenga with a stylish choker necklace and her hair tied hair in a bun.
Preity Zinta, who attended the celebrations with her husband Gene Goodenough, also shared her best wishes for the newlywed couple on her Instagram account. She wrote, “We are all smiles after looking at the newly married couple @aambani1 & @shloka11. They look so in love & it is a super cute sight. Love is in the air folks.”
Prior to their lavish wedding, the power couple had their pre-wedding festivities in St. Moritz, Switzerland which saw performances from The Chainsmokers and Coldplay. The Band Maroon 5, and lead singer Adam Levine were also seen performing on the wedding day and during the post wedding festivities.
